Feilding win 2009 SchoolGirls' Sevens

FAHS 1 were the winning team on the weekend at the 2009 SchoolGirls' Sevens tournament held at Ongley Park.

8 teams participated in two polls of 4 where round-robins were played. FAHS 1 came out on top in Pool A and Freyberg in Pool B.

Cross-pool games were then played including the final and the Selica Winiata Cup won by FAHS 1 by the score of 32-0 over Freyberg.

Final rankings for the day were as follows:

4. Kuranui
5. WB Baa Baas
6. FAHS 2
7. PNGHS
8. Tararua

The SchoolGirls' competition now moves on to a 10-a-side tournament over the next few weeks.
