Pre-Season Club Rugby Games

Pre-Season games are just around the corner. This article provides information on grounds and referees for these games.

1. Grounds:

Most grounds are controlled by the Palmerston North City Council (PNCC) and Manawatu District Council (MDC). For pre-seaon games grounds must be booked/hired by the hosting club by contacting:

PNCC require a 'Request for Playing Grounds (Pre-season)' Form to be filled out and Submitted. Click HERE for this form.

The MRU will have available grounds marked in time for pre-season games to occur on the weekend of 6th March 2010. If any clubs have scheduled in games on grounds prior to this date, please contact the MRU to arrange for field marking asap. Most Palmerston North inner city grounds are dual use and will not be available for rugby until early April.

2. Referees

Host clubs should contact the Manawatu Rugby Referees Association to make arragements for match officials for pre-season games by contacting:
