Turbos Show Skills to Feilding High School

FAHS forwards compete with the Turbos for the lineout win

Last Wednesday the Turbos ventured out to Feilding High School for one of their last trainings before their final pre-season fixture versus Hawke’s Bay. This training proved a great opportunity for Feilding High School’s 1st XV to test themselves against their professional opponents in practice drills. The FAHS forwards attempted to fool the Turbos players with their lineout moves before moving on to watch the Turbos brutality at the scrum machine. Over on another field the backlines went head to head in attack and defence with some slick moves being shown from both teams.

The stands were filled with students watching the Turbos train and all let out an excited cheer, when they realised Aaron Cruden had snuck on to the field after he had been released from his All Blacks duties.

With Classic Hits bringing their sound system along with giveaways such as posters, wristbands and tickets to the game, it proved to be an exciting afternoon for all involved. The Turbos now look forward to their ITM Cup season opener against Southland on the 31st July before their next public training at Freyberg High School, on the 2nd of August.
