Junior Rugby Update – April 2012

All dispensations received by the Manawatu Rugby Union have been considered and each club's convenor has been notified of the outcome of each request.

It was also decided that the Under 13 grade be restricted to under 13 players and not be an under13/under 60gs grade as in the past.

Entries received to date
The MRU have received the following entries in each of the grades:

Under 13 (4 teams)
Feilding, Kia Toa, Freyberg, Marist. PNBHS yet to confirm entries.

Under 12 (11 teams)
Feilding x 3, PNHSOB, Bush, Kia Toa x 2, Freyberg, Marist x 3.

Under 11 (12 teams)
Ashhurst, Feilding x 3, PNHSOB, Bush, Te Kawau, Kia Toa x 2, COB, Marist x 2.

Under 10 (15 teams)
Ashhurst, Feilding x 4, PNHSOB, Bush, Te Kawau, Kia Toa x 2, COB, Freyberg, Marist x 3.

Under 9 (9 teams)
PNHSOB, Bush, Te Kawau, Kia Toa, COB, Freyberg, Marist x 3.

Under 8 (12 teams)
Ashhurst, PNHSOB, Bush, Bulls, Te Kawau, Kia Toa, Linton, COB, Freyberg, Marist x 3.

Under 7 (22 teams)
Ashhurst x 2, PNHSOB x 2, Bulls, Te Kawau x 3, Kia Toa x 4, Linton x 2, COB, Freyberg, Marist x 6.

There might be some fine tuning of the entries but it is expected that the draws for all the grades will be released next week.

Junior Convenors, Coaches and Managers Meeting
The annual meeting of all club and team representatives will take place on Monday 23 April in the McMillan & Lockwood Lounge (level 4 FMG Stadium), starting at 7pm.
