Manawatu U14 vs Whanganui U14 Match Report

Great First up win, given our depth our aim is to get stronger and go 5/5 structurally I was happy with our decision we made throughout the game. As coaches you want your side to stay tight and play more phase’s, but you can’t take away from this team using and identifying space.

Well lead by Captain Jacob Booth with strong runs and Decision making, backed up by strong performances by Matthew Antis, Micheal Strasson, Van Prenter (POD by Whanganui), Khan Mason and Taine Harvey.

Kingsley

All the forwards played well, great set piece scrums and lineouts. Looked after the pill at ruck time. Even counter rucked. About 5 tight head scrums.

Great depth by the backs awesome support play by the forwards when line was broken

Locky

Backs complimented the forwards well by finishing with some polished movements leading to tries. Front foot ball set up by the forwards, allowed the backs to expose open spaces out wide and with the attacking weapons throughout the back line, tries came at will
