Girls Top 4 returns to Palmerston North

NZSS Girls Top 4

Friday 2nd of September will see the NZ Secondary School Girl's Top 4 return to Palmerston North. The tournament has been based here since its inception in 2012 where local side Feilding High School won the inaugural tournament. The tournament has been hosted by Manawatu Rugby Union for the four year tenure.

The tournament welcomes new comers in 2016 with Kaipara College representing the Blues region after beating previous winners Southern Cross Campus College, and St Mary's College takes the place of previous two time winner Fielding High School after comprohensively beating them in the Hurricanes qualifer. Southland Girls' High School return for their fifth attempt at the title whilst defending champions Hamilton Girls' High School return after a narrow victory over Tauranga Girls' College.

The tournament will have sompany in 2016 with both the Boys' and Co-Ed tournament heading to the Sport and Rugby Insittute on Friday also. The first time all three events have been held in the same city.

Friday 2nd September
12pm - Kaipara College v Southland Girls' High School
3pm - St Mary's v Hamilton Girls' High School

Sunday 4th September
10am - 3rd v 4th
12pm - 1st v 2nd
