Secondary school rugby has played a key role in shaping the New Zealand rugby landscape for well over 100 years.   ​​​​​​​

Manawatū Rugby works to make rugby accessible to secondary students no matter your situation - whether you've been playing rugby for a few years or want to give it a go for the first time, we you to get involved. Contact our Schools Lead Ryan Evans if you have any questions.  

We run several boys comepetitions across Premier (under 18) and Youth (under 15) grades. 

For secondary school girls, we have an under 16 competition in Term 2 and an open competition in Term 3. We encourage girls who are aged 16 and over to play Women's club rugby in Term 2. Contact our Women and Inclusion Lead Kahurangi Sturmey if you need help connecting with a club.
