VACANCY - MANAWATŪ TURBOS ASSISTANT COACH


The Manawatū Rugby Union is seeking applicants for the role of Turbos Assistant Coach.

The Assistant Coach, working in conjunction with the Head Coach, will develop operational plans and programmes for the development of players and coaches at representative level. As a significant part of this role, the Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in selecting and coaching the Turbos NPC team.

Specifically, the Assistant Coach will be responsible for:

  • back attack strikes
  • team attack systems
  • skill development to support attack
  • contributing to team selection.

 

Additionally, the Assistant Coach will provide support for Manawatū Rugby Union operations and be an active member of the Performance Rugby Team.

Key competencies for the role include:

  • sound tactical and technical knowledge of the game and specific position development
  • the ability to identify and develop talent
  • demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and build good working relationships
  • strong organisational and time management skills
  • self-motivation and a positive, can-do attitude.
